Ao Haru Ride review! 8.75/10

Review time!

Ao Haru Ride

This anime is about two people, Kou and Futaba who should have gotten together when they were young but due to a series of events, never expressed their feelings for each other. Kou leaves school and Futaba, who is naturally cute, starts to try and become unattractive to boys so that she won't be ostracized by the other females. Three years later, she's gotten the hang of it and is comfortable with her friends when she notices Kou is back in her school, with a different last name.
The series then progresses through them getting to know each other better and realize their feelings. It isn't overwhelmingly  stereotypical like some shojo anime's and has a good balance of emotions. Since it's balanced well and the characters are lovable, it really takes you on rollercoaster of emotions yourself as you watch or read.
I watched it one day and spent the next day reading the rest of the manga since there isn't a season 2. It's an addictive, cute love story with great animation. The soundtrack compliments it without overpowering the scene.

My rating: 8.75/10

REC: Zankyou no Terror

Zankyou no Terror / Terror in Resonance

Genre: Psychological, Thriller

Summary:"In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population.
While the world searches for a criminal mastermind to blame for this tragedy, two mysterious children—children who shouldn't even exist—masterfully carry out their heinous plan. Cursed to walk through this world with the names Nine and Twelve, the two combine to form "Sphinx," a clandestine entity determined to wake the people from their slumber—and pull the trigger on this world." (Source: FUNimation)

The most loveable terrorists, ever. Sounds weird, right? But this anime tugs at your brain and your heart from the first episode. It's fast paced and by the end you're cheering for the duo known as "Sphinx". I loved it and plan on watching it again in the future. Character development is decent, the artwork and animation is beautiful, and the story line is thrilling. It is definitely worth a try if you're into the genre.

An introduction.

Welcome, to my first attempt at a blog.  My goal is to post honest, opinionated reviews for other people who like anime and manga as much as I do. I'll probably post other goodies like amv's, op/ending songs, anime previews, and lots of screenshots.

Enjoy
